The purpose of this study was to describe the process of revitalizing the role of foster guardians at Manbaul Ulum Islamic boarding school. The research used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the role of foster guardians in improving reading and memorization skills is vital and much needed by students. The revitalization referred to in this research is to prioritize the role of foster guardians not only to discipline students but also to take part in the learning process of students in the boarding school.
